Rough night? After finally falling asleep, you can’t help but hit the snooze button one-too-many times, and now you're officially running late. What are you going to do about that greasy hair, puffy face and those ragged nails when you're so short on time? Here are ten tips to speed up your beauty routine.

  1. Choose multipurpose skincare products. "These multitaskers save you from searching for multiple products and they remove extra steps," Good Housekeeping beauty editor Holly Crawford tells The Early Show. Plenty of today's products offer 2-in-1 benefits, combining a cleanser with a toner, makeup with moisturizers, a moisturizer with sunscreen and various other products. For instance, Elizabeth Arden 2 in 1 Cleanser offers a soothing, alcohol-free formula that both cleanses and tones without drying the skin.

Another dual-purpose option for trimming time off your regimen is a tinted moisturizer. Stila Sheer Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - Tone provides full, lightweight coverage that heals and illuminates the skin. Use it in the morning instead of foundation — or after midday gym visits, suggests makeup artist Paula Dorf in Shape. First though, cleanse your face with a moist cleansing cloth, Dorf notes. Mustela Facial Cleansing Cloths With PhysiObebe remove sweat, dirt and oil from pores and soften skin, leaving it primed for the tinted moisturizer. "This complements your natural, after-gym flush, giving you an even healthier glow," Dorf adds.

For the additional advantage of removing your makeup while cleansing and toning, check out Thalgo Cleansing Water 2 in 1. Perfect for combination skin types, this product contains the antioxidant grapefruit extract and Gelidium sesquipedale extract, which hydrates, tones and revitalizes skin.

  2. Make Vaseline a staple. Vaseline provides numerous time-saving benefits, according to Crawford. At home or on the go, you can easily use Vaseline to:

    • Tame eyebrows
    • Soften and darken eyelashes
    • Highlight upper cheeks
    • Moisturize lips
    • Moisturize cuticles for brighter-looking nails

  3. Puffy face? Turn to frozen food. To remedy puffy facial skin, just look in your freezer! "A bag of frozen vegetables, especially peas or corn, conforms to the face perfectly, bringing down swelling in about five minutes," facial plastic surgeon Yael Halaas, M.D., tells Fitness Magazine.
  4. Plan your makeup. Instead of spending precious minutes finding the right shade of eye shadow or lipstick, set out your makeup the night before. Even better, line up your products in the order you'll apply them, recommends Crawford.
  5. Forgot to plan? Grab the beauty basics. "When you're running late, you want products that you can apply in minutes and on the go, if necessary," Dorf tells Shape. Specifically, she suggests:

    • Concealer to even out skin tone.
    • An eyelash curler to brighten eyes. Start at the base of your upper lashes and work upward, Crawford notes.
    • Mascara only on the upper eye lashes to energize eyes. Why not the lower lashes? If the mascara smudges, you’ll look exhausted, according to Fitness Magazine. To look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, apply mascara to the middle lashes, going upward toward the brows; then apply to the “inner corners, toward nose and outer lashes, toward temples," makeup artist Jessica Liebeskind tells the magazine.
    • Cream blush on the apples of your cheeks and lips for a healthy hue. On The Early Show, CBS makeup artist Lisa Mirante recommends blending pink and bronze blushes for a more vibrant complexion. Consider DuWop Cheek Venom Diamondback and DuWop Cheek Venom Sidewinder.

  6. Use dry shampoo. "Not only will it disguise greasy, haven't-had-time-to-wash-it hair, but it gives hair a volume boost, taking it from blah to sexy in seconds," explains Your Beauty Spot. However, experts advise against replacing your regular shampoo with the dry variety. Although dry shampoos quickly freshen up your tresses and preserve the color in treated hair, regular shampoos cleanse better, notes The Beauty Brains. Plus, dry shampoos may “leave a white residue and can leave hair feeling gross,” they add.

To properly use dry shampoo, just apply it to your scalp, massage it in and comb it out. Don't know what product to pick? Check out Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo. Natural oat, rice and tapioca starches absorb dirt and greasy buildup and increase volume while triclosan and tea tree oil treat and prevent dandruff. The product also has a lemon verbena fragrance, ensuring your hair smells great, too.

Find dry-shampoo sprays more appealing? Check out the nourishing, lightweight spray Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray. To use, just spray the product on the roots, let it dry, shake out any excess, brush and style.

  7. Wear hair up. To quickly polish your look, wear your hair in a ponytail or twist. Prefer the ponytail? "Positioned just above the crown, the style spotlights cheekbones, making them and the rest of your face appear lifted," salon owner Mark Garrison tells Fitness. Lower ponytails work too, Amy Bratt notes in Shape. Either way, she suggests refining the ends with a dab of styling serum or cream. Consider Oscar Blandi Olio di Jasmine Hair Serum to calm frizz without weighing down your hair.

Like the twist? "If your hair is long, twist the back up and pin it to hold," Bumble and bumble salon stylist Allison Luongo tells Shape.

Is your hair too short to wear up? Bratt suggests parting hair on the side — over the center of either eye, notes Garrison — tucking it behind the ears and pulling it back with your favorite clip or headband. In just seconds, this style creates a put-together look.

  8. Find a pimple? Fix it fast. First, lightly dab corrective concealer on the red areas. Try B. Kamins Booster Blue Corrective Concealer, which contains iron oxide that conceals the blemish while vitamin B and green tea extract treat it. Next, use a corrective brush, such as Illuminare Concealer/Eye Color Brush, to lightly apply a standard concealer. "These two products combined will offset and help correct the color of any problem spots," Dorf tells Shape.

Need a quality concealer? There is an Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer for every shade of skin. From a concealer for extremely fair complexions to one for medium-dark brown complexions, these products effectively conceal redness, dark circles, sun damage, broken capillaries and other blemishes for favorably flawless skin.

  9. For nails, the choice is clear. Quickly spruce up nails with clear, fast-drying nail polish, recommends Bratt in Shape. Sheer products also work well, such as beige, champagne and pale pink, adds Bratt. Your Beauty Spot also points out that chipped nails aren’t as visible with sheer pink.

If time permits, brush on a fast-drying topcoat, nail care salon owner Ji Baek tells Shape. Just keep in mind that fast-drying topcoats don't last as long or offer as much shine as protective formulas, notes Jan Arnold, co-founder of a California nail care salon. For the speediest solution, try a 2-in-1 polish and topcoat, writes Bratt.

  10. Create an evening routine. Prevent scrambling for time in the morning altogether by creating a nightly regimen. Rather than rushing through a morning shower, give yourself some rest and relaxation with a nightly bath. In addition to shaving precious minutes off a woman’s morning routine, an evening bath can also become a calming ritual to let go of a long day. After your soak, don’t forget to moisturize. Applying oil or lotion shortly after bathing helps seal in moisture for long-lasting softness. You can also blow-dry hair at night and smooth it out with a straightening iron in the morning. For curly hair, diffuse before going to bed and, if necessary, revive curls with an anti-frizz product or curling spray in the morning.
